SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
We are committed to constantly improving the health and well being of the people and workers within our company, and improving our processes in ways that positively affect the planet. And that means constantly measuring our progress.
We conduct independent Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) studies on each of our products as we bring them to market. Since the findings from a Life Cycle Analysis require us to examine and investigate the way that our clothes are produced, these studies have been invaluable tools in our decision-making as a company and have even prompted us to alter our practices.
For example, our first LCA demonstrated that in the manufacturing process we originally planned, transportation was causing negative environmental impacts. We immediately redesigned our production stream by gathering more materials within the U.S. and closer to our factories, minimizing the environmental impact of transportation and energy costs.
Factory Certification and Labor Standards
We also take a humanistic approach to sustainability:
- Our factories are WRAP (Worldwide Recognized Apparel Production) certified, monitored, and inspected regularly.
- We choose to only work with trade partners who meet international standards for fair wages, employee safety, and child labor.
- We build long-term relationships with foreign and domestic trade partners, stimulating local and international economic growth.
