Each PLAYBACK recycled PET bottle t-shirts are made from the equivalent of 8.5 twenty oz plastic bottles. Our process of buying recycled bottles for our t-shirts helps divert waste from landfill and contributes to an overall economy of upcycling.

LBS OF TEXTILE SCRAPS WE’VE SAVED FROM LANDFILL BY UPCYCLING

Each PLAYBACK recycled t-shirt is made from approximately .4 lbs of textile scraps, and each sweatshirt, 1.4 lbs. Our process of collecting these post-industrial scraps allows us to divert them from landfill and contributes to an overall economy of upcycling.

GALLONS OF WATER WE’VE SAVED BY NOT GROWING EXTRA COTTON

This figure is based on global averages of the amount of water needed for irrigation alone, which requires approximately 320 gallons to grow enough cotton for one 250 g t-shirt.
